CCR Electronic Delivery

Big News from Washington!

On January 3, 2013, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) distributed their Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) Rule Memorandum clarifying delivery options for delivering CCRs. It states that water suppliers may now use the electronic delivery option for CCRs (including deliver of the report’s URL) to comply with the requirement to “directly deliver” the CCR. Read more on the ruling here on the EPA blog…

So how exactly do you deliver “electronically”??

RuralWaterImpact.com has you covered! First, when you sign up, we launch your site in 2 days. Then, when you log in and upload a PDF file of your CCR, your customers are instantly able to view, print, or even download your Water Quality Report— right on your website! Simply publish the URL (which we provide) on your billing statements and you’re in compliance. No more expensive mass mailings! No more paper waste!

A recent study by NRWA Regulatory Committee Chairman John Sasur from Three Rivers Water Department in Massachusetts found the annual savings to U.S. consumers could total over a hundred million dollars annually – and greatly reduce the amount of paper ending up in the trash, reduce the amount of energy used to produce the CCRs, and provide consumers with enhanced and more timely information.

Please note that PWSS has primacy on this rule and must accept the new language prior to implementation. Contact your State Rural Water Association for more information.

What our customers say…
